Albuquerque plastic surgeon discusses stitch and staple removal after a facelift.

When will the stitches or staples be removed after a facelift?

For a facelift Dr. Hudson usually uses stitches that dissolve and do not have to be removed.

If regular stitches are used, those in front of the ear are often removed during the first week. Stitches or staples behind the ear or in the scalp often remain for 10-14 days.
