Does it hurt after surgery?

All surgery is associated with pain and discomfort. For this reason your doctor will usually give you a prescription for pain killers. Remember you can often get good pain relief with simple over-the-counter medicines like Tylenol and Advil. Do not take aspirin because this can increase the risks of bleeding. By the end of the first week the pain is usually much less.
