Will my insurance pay for this surgery?

Insurance companies only pay for surgery if it is not considered cosmetic surgery. Your doctor can give your insurance company documentation about your condition and many are happy to write a letter to them. Your insurance company may not pay anything toward the surgery. The ASPS (American Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons) has information about plastic surgery and insurance coverage.
