Not everyone is a candidate for thigh and buttock lifting. Patients who are generally obese should consider diet and exercise to reach a lower weight before considering this surgery. Patients who have severe localized obesity of the upper thigh alone may also not be candidates. Some surgeons feel that patients with severe "cellulite" of the upper thigh do not do well. In some of these cases ultrasonic liposuction may help.
If you have had varicose veins surgery or if you have severe vascular disease of the leg, such as arterial or vein disease, surgery may not be safe.
Apart from localized diseases of the leg most surgeons are reluctant to perform this operation in patients with major medical diseases like diabetes or blood disorders.
