Do I tell people I have had cosmetic surgery?

Cosmetic surgery is a very personal matter. Only you can decide who should, and should not, know you have had surgery. Most doctors recommend that you talk about surgery with at least one other person you know well. Your spouse, or a good friend, are obvious examples. You could also discuss surgery with a therapist or your family doctor. Unfortunately, even today many professional people are not well informed about cosmetic surgery. If you let those close to you know about the operation then you can ask for help afterwards without being embarrassed or shy.

If you are anxious that others do not know you have had breast augmentation surgery then it is wise not to go too big with the implant size, and for a few weeks before surgery start to dress in loose clothes.
